10,000 Crores of Betting on each IPL Game - Modi

May 12, 2015

Mumbai, May 12: The IPL has successfully entered into its 8th season and the craze for the game remained steady in the country from its inception. Though there have been many allegations on the players, betting process and the middle-men, it hasn't effected the game until now. A final report about the bookies role in IPL is long due and Lalit Modi's latest controversial tweets about Supreme Court and IPL Fixing has added some weight now.

The former IPL Commissioner Modi has said that the betting on each and every IPL Cricket match would be around 9,000 to 10,000 crores and asked the media to wake up and probe into this. He has also said that the Supreme Court Report has at least four players from Chennai Super Kings team as the prime convicts.

Not stopping with that, Modi has alleged the current chairman of IPL as the main person behind stopping the report to get disclosed. "Why do you think the #monster is trying to stay put on his chair? That is where he gets his raw material to fund his buying of votes, politicians and players," tweeted Lalit Kumar Modi.

On the other hand, Enforcement Directorate [ED] is investigating and probing into the Hawala connections with some betting syndicates in and around Delhi. But what's disgusting to see is that all these investigations and their findings never see the light in our country.
