Bengaluru, May 20: A fun outing turned disastrous for two teenagers after one of them slipped from ThottiKallu (TK) waterfalls in Kaggalipura, sustaining severe injuries.
Nawaz Ahmed, 16, and his friend Ranganath had decided to go to TK Falls on Thursday. On reaching there, Ahmed, who wanted to wash his feet, did not notice the algae on the rocks. He slipped and fell from a height of 30 feet, police said.
Raghavan, who was recording their trip on a phone, caught the incident on his mobile phone and alerted locals. They were able to rescue Ahmed and take him to a private hospital. “He had sustained head injuries and a fracture in his leg, but his condition is stable,” a police officer said.
Both boys are Class X students who live in BTM Layout. According to the police, Ahmed had not told his father about the trip.
