Madikeri, Apr 23: Forest officials have nabbed two poachers who were allegedly involved transporting wild boar meet after hunting them in the Somwarapet forest range.
Official sources said on Tuesday that the arrested were identified as Ashwath and Nishant. The duo allegedly hunted wild boar at Hdediyala in H D Kote Taluk in Bandipur Forest Range and were trying to transport 40 kg of meat when they were caught. One car and a bike used for the crime were also seized from them.
A case has been registered and the arrested were remanded to judicial custody by a Magistrate before whom they were produced.
