Kasargod, Oct 3: At least three Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers were injured in a clash involving Communist Party of India (Marxist) workers at Neeleswaram late Monday night.
The incident occurred on the Neeleswaram market road at 9.30 p.m. after flags and other decorations erected in the town by BJP loyalists were allegedly vandalised by CPI(M) workers. The clash that followed resulted in three BJP workers getting injured.
The clash triggered fresh tension ahead of the BJP-sponsored Janaraksha Yatra. The police have registered a case. No arrest has been registered.
