Hyderabad, Sept 1: In a shocking incident, Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu was on Wednesday caught on camera assaulting a senior citizen in Hyderabad.

In a video uploaded by ANI, the 31-year-old can be seen stepping out of his car and manhandling an elderly man, who is said to have accused him of rash driving.

The out of favour Indian batsman was looking to pick up a fight when onlookers intervened to calm him down after he assaulted the senior citizen.

It isn't for the first time that the senior right-handed batsman has lost his cool. In an Indian Premier League match, he exchanged a few heated words with veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh.

Social media was rife with criticism over Rayadu's viral video as people admonished the cricketer for lacking sportsmanship. A case has not yet been registered against the sportsman, however, it is expected that the Telangana police will take cognisance of the incident.

Rayudu has represented India in 34 ODIs and 6 T20Is. He made his debut for the Men in Blue on July 24, 2013 in an ODI against Zimbabwe.
