New Delhi, Jan 2: Bollywood actor Anupam Kher who will be seen portraying the character of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in the upcoming political drama 'The Accidental Prime Minister', complained to the YouTube platform that the film's trailer is missing or is at the 50th position on the application.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Anupam said,'Dear @YouTube!!! I am getting messages & calls that in parts of our country if you type, trailer of #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister, it is either not appearing or at 50th position. We were trending at No.1 yday. Please help. #HappyNewYear. #37millionviews'.
Meanwhile, YouTube India is yet to respond to the ongoing speculation about the missing trailer from the website.
Kher plays the role of the former Prime Minister in this Vijay Ratnakar Gutte-directorial.
The three-minute trailer chronicles the life of Manmohan Singh and as the Prime Minister of India from 2004-2014, as narrated by Sanjaya Baru in his book of the same name.
In appearance, Kher aces as Manmohan Singh, while Akshaye Khanna plays the role of Sanjaya Baru, who was Manmohan Singh's media advisor from 2004 to 2008.
The film's plot is narrated through Sanjaya Baru's character.
'The Accidental Prime Minister' delves into the internal politics of the Congress party and how Manmohan Singh handled the situations.
The trailer also features Aahana Kumra as Priyanka Vadra, Arjun Mathur as Rahul Gandhi, and Suzanne Bernert as Sonia Gandhi.
'The Accidental Prime Minister' will hit the screens on February 11.
The film is based on Sanjay Baru’s memoir of the same name that was released in 2014.
