Though the goods carrier was traced, the vehicle had reached Cherkadu in Kerala. The cops had to face several problem there due to jurisdictional issues and hence they later informed Badiyadka police station and asked the local cops to arrest the driver and seize the vehicle.

The Circle Inspector is said to have declared that the youth had died after their bike skid on the road and had told the locals to restrain themselves from giving statements in the case.

It is also said that a reporter who arrived at the spot to cover the mishap was treated rudely by the Circle Inspector.

The reporter has lodged a complaint against the circle inspector with the Inspector General of Police (western range).
