Bengaluru, Feb 1: The situation has turned worse again in Bellandur lake on Thursday afternoon, after another fire broke out, barely half a month after a massive fire took root in the diseased lake.
The fire was first spotted by the locals at 3.30 pm. "Then it seemed small and by 4.30 pm it seemed like it was coming down. but now it is increasing. By 5.30 pm it has started to spread," said Bharathi Mani, a resident of Iblur.
Locals said that it is the same location where fire was first reported on January 19. Police, fire and emergency department and government officials have rushed to the spot to take note of the situation and bring things under control.
