Kasaragod, Jun 11: The Bharatiya Janata Party has demanded stoppage for the bi-weekly Antyodaya Express connecting Mangaluru and Thiruvananthapuram in Kasaragod.

The train with fully unreserved coaches started service on Saturday.

BJP district president K. Sreekanth said the authorities should reconsider their decision not to provide stoppage for the night train in Kasaragod.

The three night trains connecting Mangaluru and the capital city ran packed all days, he said in a statement.

The train has been provided just seven stoppages, but takes almost 12 hours to reach the destinations.
