Mangalore, Dec 5: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) State President Abdul Majeed Kodlipet has said that the bomb blasts in the country are done by the politicians for political gains and the blame is then put on the Muslims.
He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the campaign on'End political terrorism', held at Town Hall, Mangalore.
He said that the NDA government executed the Parliament blast because they wanted to bring in POTA Act, in 2001. Similarly, he said the UPA government which wanted UAPA law in place executed the Mumbai bomb blast in 2008.
Majeed said that this information was procured from the Affidavit filed by Gujarat Under Secretary Home Ministry R V S Mani.
“Thousands of youth have been falsely implicated in different cases and detained at secret places,” he said reiterating the words of Uttar Pradesh retired Inspector General of Police S R Dharmapuri who had stated that these youth are later used as scapegoats to own up the responsibility of various crimes or are simply encountered to close some matters.
Mr Majeed said that while the Muslims are being tagged as terrorists the Dalits and the backward classes are being made to death after being tagged as naxalites.
SDPI District President Aboobakar presided over the programme.
SDPI Kasargod District President N U Salam, National Secretary Ilyas Mohommad Thume among others were present.
