Mangalore, Feb 7: A book on the various facades of prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi 'Manku Boodi (Modi) – Hitlera Hejje Jaadugalu' written by Suresh Bhat Bakrabail was released in a programme here on Friday.
In a programme organised by Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike, Dakshina Kannada at Women's Resource Centre, Balmatta here, former district president of the organisation C N Shetty released the first edition of the book.
Speaking about the book, chief secretary of the organisation K L Ashok said that intention of the book was to dispel the myth of Modi and the development of Gujarat. Whether or not any real development has taken place in Gujarat is one of the key aspects of the book.
A person like Modi should not be allowed to rule a democracy like India, which is slowly witnessing the rise of a demonic entity called 'Moditva', he said.
He said that the book also gave a comprehensive description of the situation of farmers, Dalits, tribals, backward classes and women in Gujarat under the rule of Modi.
After the book release, K R Vidhyadhar, an advocate from Madikeri spoke on the dangers faced by the Constitution in a Republic country.
KKSV district president Suresh Bhat Bakrabail, Udupi district president G Rajashekhar, Ali Hasan and others were present.
