Udupi, May 18: The boat service from Malpe tourist jetty and Malpe beach to St. Mary’s Island, a popular tourist destination, has been stopped with immediate effect till September 15 as is done annually.

A press release issued by the Malpe Development Committee here on Thursday said that consequent to the annual monsoon ban, no tourist boats or water sports boats will operate from Malpe to St. Mary’s Island till September 15. Boating activities are stopped during the monsoon as the sea is rough during this period.
