Hubballi, Dec 2: Bowing to pressure from a group of Congress Legislators to join the Congress-JDS Coalition government headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, steps were taken to meet the demand before beginning of the Winter Session at Belagavi from December 10.
Speaking to newsmen here on Sunday, Coalition government Coordination Committee Chairman Siddaramaiah, while denying that some Congress MLAs, willing to join the cabinet are meeting separately in their bid to force the party high command on the issue of cabinet expansion, the former chief minister dubbed it as 'False and baseless'.
Claiming that there is no such developments within the Congress MLAs, Siddaramaiah however said that “it was decided to convene a meeting of the Coordination Committee consisting members of both the members of the Congress and the JD(S) to discuss the issue of Cabinet expansion”.
