Addressing the gathering state president Muhammad Thufail said that the bill, which is being introduced on the pretext of bringing in quality education, is motivated by monetary kickbacks from the capitalists and it looks more like a tool for minting money.
“The state BJP which is sure of never returning to power again is making sure it makes adequate money through this bill before ending its tenure,” he said informing that Campus Front has collected more than 50000 signatures which will be submitted to Governor. This bill is the move to legalize the black money collected by accomplices of the Ministers. We demand to repeal the same. We will hold Raj Bhavan March if our voice is not heard and will take up a legal fight,” he declared.
Prof. Narasimhayya, former principal and former member backward committee, criticized the Karnataka government by calling it anti-poor and anti-minority.
“No person with communal mindset can think about people's welfare. Today communalism is spreading in Karnataka like rabies due to the BJP and the other communal organizations. Minister for Education C T Ravi is not acting as Education Minister but he is more of an agent of big business houses. Education is for welfare, not for profit. We all must reject such moves by the government and not let the students get exploited by these private universities,” he said.
Laxman ji , State President Jaati Vinaash Vedike , Mohommad Kabeer state secretary SIO also visited the Dharna and expressed solidarity with the cause.
