Kasargod, Aug 30: Unidentified persons stole offerings from six hundies (cash boxes) installed at the Udineeshwara temple at Peradala falling under the Badiadukka police station limits.
The miscreants entered the temple by removing the rooftop tiles after the temple was closed around 9 p.m. on Sunday, the police said.
The burglary came to light after the temple priest reached the shrine around 5.30 a.m. on Monday. The temple trustee office-bearers have found the empty cash boxes abandoned near the temple.
Fingerprint experts had reached the shrine as part of preliminary investigation, they said.
