Class 8 student from Karnataka dies in Jubail road accident

Jubai, Feb 23: A class 8 student of International Indian School in Jubail, the industrial hub of Saudi Arabia lost his life in a road accident on Saturday.

The deceased is Zakariya, the only son of Riyaz from Raichur district in Karnataka. The boy was born and brought up in Jubail. Riyaz is currently working at Saudi Kayan, an affiliate of Sabic in Jubail.

The incident took place when Zakariya was returning home along with his class mates after attending tuition class on Saturday evening. On the way the boys went a Masjid to perform Isha prayer. After offering prayer Zakariya began to walk towards the home. While, he was crossing the road near Kudu traffic signal a speeding car hit him. He breathed his last on the spot.

As the news began to spread, a large number of students and staffs of the school, where he was studying rushed to the general hospital in Jubail. Later, the mortal remains were shifted to Qatif General Hospital. Paper works are under process for final rites.
