However, for Team Zero Gravity of Mangalore, biking is their religion and bikes are their gods. This 30 member team meets every day to share their experience and prepare for weekend shows.
Some of them are college students and some professional and their intention is to showcase their talents and encourage youth. They put up weekend shows and the amount thus collected is used by the group to maintain their vehicles.
From easy ones to spine chilling stunts, the team is well-versed in all of it.
Joel Fernandes, a call centre employee who joins the group after his work told coastaldigest.com that he has been doing stunts since college days and got into touch with some enthusiast friends to form a team. "Today the group is being invited by people at various events to stage stunts," he says.
Half old school, wheelies, stopper, circle wheelie, high chair stoppies, human compass, chainsaw, burn out Christ and other are the favourite stunts among our group members, says Joel adding that there are large number of youth who are learning stunts from the group.
Inspired by MTV Roadies, joel, Merwyn, Aaron, Stalin and Kalandar came together to form the group.
Manager of the team Kritish Kanchan says that the team has booking for shows for every weekend now.
The main objective of our team is to motivate youth and popularising stunts among them. Group is supporting potential stuntmen and now we get youth showing interest to practice, he said.
He says that the team always pays importance to safety and all the measures are taken by the stuntmen before performing.
