Bangalore, December 23: An engineering student was found murdered at his house at Hunasamaranahalli in Yelahanka police limits on Thursday evening.
The body of Piyush Sinha (24), who hailed from Jharkhand, was found packed in a suitcase.
According to the police, he was pursuing seventh semester engineering at Sir M?Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology on International Airport Road. He was staying at a single bedroom house at Hunasamaranahalli.
Piyush had not come to the college on Thursday. When some of his friends went to his house they found the door locked. As there was no response, they broke open the door and gained entry, added the police.
Foul smell
As foul smell was emanating from a suitcase, they opened it and were shocked to see Piyush’s body inside.
Piyush was sharing the house with Gautam, who had discontinued his education.
“We have detained Gautam for interrogation as we suspect his involvement in the act of crime,” Deputy Commissioner of Police?(North East) B?R?Ravikantegowda said.
