Karwar, January 28: In a shocking incident, as many as 18 dogs attacked a four-year-old boy at Maaladevinagar in Karwar on Friday.
The boy Dhanush Madiwal was seriously injured in the incident.
According to his mother Bharati, she and Dhanush were going to temple and 18 dogs of Marina Fernadis attacked them. Both of them were bitten. Dhanush suffered injuries on chest, face, and hips.
The people in the neighbourhood came out after hearing the screams and saved the boy.
People said although they had objected many times to Maria keeping the dogs as they had attacked many people in the area, but she was not bothered. A police complaint was filed by Dhanush's father against Marina and the investigation is on.
