Kasargod, February 26: An eight-year-old girl Ayishath Ibna, who had been suffering from diseases attributed to the spraying of endosulfan in the cashew estates of Plantation Corporation of Kerala Ltd. in the district, died on Saturday after battling for her life for two weeks.
Ayishath, included in the official list of endosulfan victims, hailed from Perladka in Badiyaduka village.
She died at General Hospital here where she was being treated for fever, stomach ache, and vomiting. Daughter of Ibrahim, a casual labourer, Ayishath developed speech problems two months ago.
