Labourer dies of suffocation as mud caves

The victim was identified as Yusuf (19) of Goodina Bali in Bantwal.

According to a complaint filed with Ullal police station by Suresh Manna, Yusuf and he were installing a pipe with other workers at Masthikatte when the mud caved in.

They were both trapped under a mound of mud. But Suresh managed to extricate himself.

Yusuf was shifted to a private hospital and declared brought dead.
