Rajasthan: Police constable crushed to death allegedly by sand mafia

New Delhi, May 30: A head constable has been crushed to death in Dholpur in Rajasthan. The police suspect the involvement of the local sand mafia. The victim has been identified as 46-year-old Mahendra Singh.


A sand-laden truck was found abandoned near the crime scene. It is suspected that it was carrying illegally mined sand.


The police has cordoned off the crime scene and were carrying out investigations. No arrests have been made yet.


The incident comes three months after IPS officer Narendra Kumar was allegedly killed by the mining mafia in Madhya Pradesh's Morena district.
