New Delhi, June 24: A fire broke out at the office of the home ministry in North Block in Delhi on Sunday. The fire was reported from the second floor of the building.
Seven fire engines were rushed to spot, though authorities say the situation is completely under control. The extent of the damage caused by the fire is not known yet.
Today being a Sunday, not many people were present in the office when the fire erupted, say sources.
Authorities suspect a short circuit might have caused the fire.
The fire comes just two after a major fire broke out at the mantralaya in Mumbai in which five people died and many important documents were burnt.
