New Delhi, August 5: A 23-year-old former air hostess with the domestic MDLR airlines has committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence in Ashok Vihar in North-West Delhi.
According to the police, a suicide note was found in Deepika Sharma's apartment that blames the chairman of the MDLR airlines Gopal Kanda who is also the Minister of State (MoS) in the Home Ministry in the Haryana government. The police have booked the minister for abetment to suicide and police have dispatched a team to his home in Gurgaon.
After quitting the now shut airline, Ms Sharma continued working for Mr Kanda in another of his companies.
Police sources say the note says... he (Gopal Kanda) has broken my trust.
Ms Sharma's family too allege that she was mentally and physically tortured by Mr Kanda, a charge that the police is looking to verify.
