29-year-old gang-raped at friend’s house

New Delhi, October 9: A 29-year-old woman from Dabri in southwest Delhi was allegedly gang-raped at her friend's residence on September 30. Three people have been arrested in connection with the crime while another accused — a call centre employee — is at large. The woman's husband, Santram, and her friend, Jyoti, who allegedly abetted the crime, are among the three.

On September 30, the woman was invited for lunch at Jyoti's house. When she reached the house, Santram was already present there. Within minutes of Madanlal arriving there with another man, Jyoti and Santram locked the woman in a room and left the house. The duo then raped her and threatened her with dire consequences. "We hope to arrest the accused soon," said a cop.

Meanwhile, another man raped an 18-year-old girl, his neighbour, inside a Santro while the two were heading to Avantika from Sultanpuri. "On October 5, Deepak asked the girl if she'd like to go for a drive. She didn't hesitate to get in the car because she had known him for a long time. He offered her cold drinks laced with sedatives before raping her," said a police officer
