Jhansi, Jun 11: A 17-year-old girl, who has played five times in state hockey and also has won gold medal in state school championship, on Monday stabbed four boys, who are also in their teens, over a trivial issue.

According to police, the girl was taking part in a hockey camp along with other girls and boys in Laxmi Vyam Mandir where on Monday she had some tussle with two fellow girls which was cooled down by the coaches.

Later, after the camp was over and everyone left the place, she was interrupted by the brother and his three friends of one of the girls with whom she had the argument. All of them entered into an altercation which aggravated so much that she, under a fit of rage, took out a craft knife from her kit bag and blindly attacked the four boys injuring all of them seriously.

The injuries were so deep that they had to be rushed to the Medical College hospital where they were admitted in the emergency ward and underwent many stitches. The boys were between 15-17 years of age. They were also participating in the camp.

As per the coach of the camp, the girl was always a disciplined player who always played by the rule and it was for the first time that she has behaved like this.

Parents of the boys have filed an FIR at the Kotwali police station against the girl under Section 307 (Attempt to murder) of IPC. SO Kotwali JP Yadav said, "an investigation is underway in the matter."
