KSRTC bus rams into house, 2 hurt

Mysore/Chamarajnagar, Jul 29: A Mysore-bound KSRTC bus on Sunday ploughed into a roadside house injuring two, including the driver.

The house was partially damaged in the incident, while commuters escaped unhurt. The bus attached to Chamarajanagar depot arrived from Mysore to Chamarajanagar at 6.30am, when the driver Madhukumar noticed some technical problem. He took the bus to the depot to fix it and started from Chamarajnagar at 7am, but he lost control of the vehicle at Badanaguppe, 12km from Chamarajanagar. The bus hit an electricity pole and a single-storey structure before coming to a halt, police said, adding that the said the brake got jammed when he was accelerating from Bandaguppe bus stand. Chamarajnagar rural police have registered a case.
