Boy falls from second floor onto high tension wire

Bengaluru, Feb 13: The police have registered a case of negligence against the owner of a shop after a 16-year-old boy fell from the second floor of a commercial building onto a high tension wire below.

He sustained burns on his hands and multiple fractures. The incident took place on January 21, but the parents lodged a police complaint on Saturday.

The victim, Ritvik Wuyyuru, is a class 12 student. The shop is on the second floor of JVK Complex near Marathahalli bridge. There was no retention wall outside the shop. The police estimate that the boy fell 12 feet.
