Former Minister Umashree's house burgled

Bhagalakote, Nov 2: The house of the former Karnataka Minister and cine actor Umashree was burgled last night.

According to police sources, the former minister was not present in the house, when the burglary took place and she was busy campaigning for the success of the Congress candidate Kusuma at Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Assembly constituency for which byelections are being held tomorrow.

The police sources said that the miscreants had entered her house last night, after broke open the door of the house, located at Rabkavi town in the district, and investigation is being held into the incident.

The former minister, who is also Congress leader, is rushing to her hometown and reportedly informed the police that no valuables were kept in the house.
