Naroth Dilip murder case: Nine SDPI workers found 'guilty' by Sessions court

Kannur, Feb 14: Thalassery Additional District Sessions Court on Thursday found nine Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) workers including its district president 'guilty' in connection with the murder of CPI(M) local leader Naroth Dilip.

SDPI district president V Muhammed Basheer, Peravoor mandalam secretary Muhammed Farooq, P K Latheef, U K Sidhik, U K Faizal, U K Younus, P K Faizal, T Yakoop and P Gafoor, all hailing near by Iritty were found guilty by judge K S Rajeev.

There were total 16 accused in the case. The court acquitted seven accused SDPI workers for lack of evidence. The quantum of punishment for the guilty will be pronounced on Saturday.
