Chitradurga, Mar 15: Karnataka Public Works Department Assistant Executive Engineer and a Junior Engineer were trapped by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials and caught them while accepting bribe amount for a Contractor at Hiriyur today.
ACB sources said that Superintendent of Police G A Jagadish, on getting a complaint, laid a trap and arrested AEE Krishnappa and JE Puttaswamy attached to Hiriyur Subdivision PWD, while receiving Rs 48,000 bribe to clear a Bill of road contract work.
A case has been registered and the arrested were produced before a the Court.
