Chikkamagaluru, Feb 18: An elderly woman was killed, allegedly by her son, at Hokali village in Sringeri taluk on Sunday.
Sakamma, 65, wife of Shankare Gowda, died after her son Nandish hit her in the head with a cane, said the police.
The accused picked up argument with his mother as she refused to offer him money to buy alcohol. The Sringeri police have taken Nandish into custody.
