Bengaluru, Oct 30: Karnataka Chief Minister and senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa will campaign for the victory of disqualified MLAs who will be selected for December 5 by-election, even as JDS supremo and former prime minister H D Devegowda has decided not to have any election alliance with Congress or BJP.
BJP sources told UNI that Mr Yediyurappa has finalised his tour programme and will launch the campaign from Chikkabalapura constituency from where disqualified Congress MLA Dr Sudhakar was elected in the last Assembly election.
Later he will campaign in Hirekerur on Nov 7 and on Nov 10 at Vijayanagara from where Congress disqualified MLAs B C Patil and Anand Singh are expected to contest on BJP ticket respectively.
The Chief Minister will seek vote for the disqualified MLAs in all 15 constituencies, even as the party is yet to select candidates.
Meanwhile, BJP has decided to scale down celebration of 100 days completion in the Government following strong criticism by the opposition parties and also due to severe flood situation in parts of the State, particularly in North Karnataka. However, the party will bring out a booklet about the BJP government's achievements in the 100 days on November 5, sources added.
