Deve Gowda hints at staying away from electoral politics

New Delhi, Feb 7: Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (S) stalwart H D Devegowda on Thursday indicated that he may not contest the ensuing general elections.

'This may be my last speech in the House,' said the 86-year old Gowda while speaking during debate on Motion of Thanks to President's Address in the Lok Sabha.

The sitting member from Hassan parliamentary constituency in Karnataka, Mr Gowda headed the United Front government in 1996-197.
