Mumbai, Feb 23: The 93-year-old actor had been given exemption from personal appearance in the case due to old age.
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar was on Tuesday acquitted by a local court in a cheque bounce case of 1998.
According to the complainant, she had invested Rs 45 lakh in the company and was liable to get Rs 57.61 lakh in return.
However, when a cheque was issued by the company, it was dishonoured after which Shroff filed a case under the provisions of Negotiable Instruments Act.
Kumar had been given exemption from personal appearance in the case due to old age.
