DKMA hands over Rs 2 lakh to bereaved family

Mangaluru, May 2: The Dakshina Kannada Muslim Association handed over a cheque of Rs 2 lakh to the aggrieved family of late Abdul Kareem Uppinangady, who was a beneficiary card holder the DKMA.

The cheque was handed over by the DKMA president S M Rashid Haji to the wife and daughter of the deceased in the presence of B S Basheer, Sulaiman Karaya, Salih and other office bearers of the association.

The DKMA, which came into existence last year with the sole intention of helping the bereaved families in case of the sudden demises of their breadwinners, has handed over a similar amount to several other families so far in Dakshina Kannada.
