Dubai: Dakshina Kannada Sunni Centre (DKSC), which has around 14,000 members across Middle East is now gearing up for the valedictory ceremony of its 20th anniversary scheduled to be held from December 2 to 4. As a prelude to this a publicity meet was recently organised at Pearl Creek Hotel in Dubai recently.
Taha Bafaki Thangal, honorary president, UAE national committee of DKSC performed dua in the beginning. Sayyed Asgar Ali Thangal, Advisor, UAE national committee of DKSC, inaugurated the meet.
In his introductory remarks M E Muloor, vice-president, UAE national committee of DKSC, briefed about the strength of organisation and the educational institutions functioning under its auspices.
He said around 1,450 students are studying at Al Ihsan Education Centre of Muloor, managed by DKSC. The influential organisation of the Indian expatriates in Gulf, came into existence in 1985 under the leadership of Usthad Hasanul Faizi Ajjavar.
Dr Kaup Mohammed, general secretary, Bearys Cultural Forum, was the chief guest. Haji Moideen Kutti, chairman, UAE national committee of DKSC presided over the meet.
