Mangalore, Feb 7: The valedictory of the 19th Dr M V Shetty Memorial inter-physiotherapy colleges' cricket tournament for boys and girls held at NMPT ground, Panambur, on Thursday.
Dr Divyanjali Shetty, Trustee Dr M V Shetty memorial Trust Mangalore was the chief guest for the valedictory function. Students and staff of Dr M V Shetty College of physiotherapy and various physiotherapy colleges were present.
The winners of girls' category were Dr M V Shetty College of physiotherapy girls' cricket team. They won the tournament for fifth consecutive year. Runners up were Srinivas College of physiotherapy girls' cricket team.
In boys' category Srinivas college of Physiotherapy won the trophy. They won third time in row this tournament and runners up were Laxmi college of physiotherapy, Mangalore.
Woman of the tournament was Maria, captain of Dr M V Shetty College of physiotherapy and man of the tournament was Jignesh, captain, Srinivas Mangalore.
Best batswoman was Sarika of Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy and best batsman was Joyel Laxmi college of physiotherapy.
The umpires for this cricket tournament were Mr Ronald and Mr Rajeshwar.
Dr Mohd Suhail , Board of studies member, RGUHS Bangalore , Mr Manohar physical director, Dr Sarath, Dr Tampha ,Dr Meryl and Dr Sujan were also present in the function.
Dr U T Ifthikar Ali, Syndicate Member RGUHS Bangalore and convenor of the tourney, proposed vote of thanks.
