Dubai: The Karnataka chapter of the Indian Cultural Society – UAE in co-ordination with Al Barha Hospital conducted a blood donation camp on December 13 at Al Barha Hospital, Dubai to mark the 43rd UAE National day.
Naseer Karaje presided over the function. The camp was inaugurated by Dr Amel Al Amin Mohammad, who briefly explained the benefits and features of blood donation. She urged the participants to spread greater awareness on the importance of blood donation and congratulated the Indian cultural society members for their service and wished all the best for their future endeavors.
Indian Cultural Society’s Chief Secretary Munavvar Tamilunadu appreciated the efforts of organizers and participants.
“This is a noble cause as life is precious on the earth and each drop of blood counts much,” he said encouraging people to donate blood. A good number of donors participated in the event and donated their blood.
Dr Zubair Humuyamn and Dr Mahamood Hussain along with their staff and Indian cultural society members enthusiastically arranged the campaign which was witnessed by many members and leaders of various community organization of Karnataka.
The organizers thanked UAE Health Authority, Al Barha Hospital Management and staff as well as donors for their time and support for the good cause.
Indian Cultural Society, Karnataka Chapter’s Chief Secretary Mr. Ashir Chokkabettu welcomed the gathering and briefed the participants about the work of Indian cultural society. Hamid Savanoor compared the event, while secretary Arif Madikeri proposed vote of thanks.
