Dubai: Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized a blood donation drive in Latifa Hospital, Oud Metha, Dubai on 28th July 2017 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Community Development Authority (CDA).
Chief Guest Mr. Mohammad Shafi Shaikh, inaugurated this event by presenting Gift Hampers to first six registered blood donors. On this occasion he explained about the importance of Blood Donation and how it helps to save someone’s life. He also added his appreciation to KSCC for their 3rd Blood Donation Event in a row because of dedicated community service youngsters and club members.
Mr. Mohammad Ismail, Vice President of KSCC, addressed the gathering by highlighting and briefing about the event. He said it is important to know that human blood cannot be manufactured, main source are only Humans. Blood Donation is also beneficial in reducing risk of heart.
He also said that their club Vision is to develop the Expatriates into a well-nourished section of the society in Sports, Cultural and social activities. He also appreciated Community Development Authority for their continuous support and cooperation for their other activities such as free medical check-up in camps, Honour Labour, Year of Giving and many more other event.
Mohammad Shafi, Manager of KSCC, and executive members of KSCC present on inauguration ceremony of Blood Donation Drive. Total 68 people participated in this drive and donated blood to save someone’s life. KSCC presented blood donor with gift along with snacks as appreciation. KSCC members also donated Platelets which are used for cancer patients on special request from Latifa hospital. Event started from 8 am in the morning and ended with completing full units of capacity arranged till 2 pm. People were feeling happy and honour to participate and donating blood.
Mohammad Faraz hosted the ceremony and concluded by delivering thanks to Latifa Hospital, Dubai Health Authority, Community Development Authority and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. He also thanked the Sponsors, Blood Donors, Hospital staffs, Organizers and volunteers to make this event successful.
