Mumbai, Jul 8: Hindi film heart-throb Hrithik Roshan on Sunday underwent a brain surgery for removal of a clot at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai.
The film star's father and filmmaker Rakesh Roshan said the surgery was successful and the actor would be discharged from hospital in a couple of days.
The 39-year-old had suffered a head injury during one of the film shoots; the injury led to what is medically called subdural haematoma wherein a possibility always exists of a rupture or haemorrage or clot formation in the brain.
Local media reports that Hrithik's parents and wife Sussanne were present throughout the 50-minute neuro-surgery to correct the chronic subdural hematoma condition.
The actor who has doled out several box-office hits in his 13 year career is now gearing up for the release of "Krrish 3", a third sequel in the sci-fi superhero series after “Koi... Mil Gaya” and “Krrish”.
