Bengaluru, Dec 6: The Government Primary School at Gavipuram Guttahalli in the city, where Superstar Rajnikant studied, while he was brought up in a modest family, is now renamed after the good Samaritans who donated the prime land now worth several crores of rupees.
The Government Primary School in the prime location was renamed after Ms Tukkubai Bhojagade and Mr Mannabai Nikkam who had donated the land, here on Wednesday.
Local legislator Ravi Subramanya and Karnataka Rajanikant Fans Association president Gandasi Sadananda Swamy honoured the decedents of the Bhojagade and Nikkam families in the presence of former chief minister S M Krishna and his wife Ms Prema Krishna. Writer R G Halli Nagaraja was present.
Mr Rajnikant who came up the ladder a hard way, was born in the city.
