Self-styled Godman and controversial Hindu religious leader Nithyananda announced the setting up of ‘Reserve Bank of Kailasa’. The currency and other related details of the bank will be revealed by Nithyananda on the auspicious Ganesh Chathurthi.

Earlier in 2019, Nithyananda had bought the island from Ecuador in central Latin America. He had declared it an independent, new nation and named it “Kailasa”.

It was described as “a nation without borders created by dispossessed Hindus around the world who lost the right to practice Hinduism authentically in their own countries.”

Meanwhile, the controversial self-styled Godman is facing charges of rape, kidnapping and wrongful confinement of children. In 2019, Nithyananda allegedly fled India and chose not to attend several court hearings in the country. On the other hand, Interpol has launched a blue corner notice against him.
