Nizamabad, Jul 2: Two brothers were stabbed to death at the Railway Grounds in Subashnagar under III Town police station limits following a dispute while playing cricket on Saturday evening.
While Pavan Kalyan Yadav (21) died on the spot, the seriously injured Narsing Yadav (23) succumbed at the Government General Hospital. The brothers belonged to Dubba area in the town and had old enmity with the culprits who are on the run. The police have identified one of the accused as Badri Narsing Yadav.
Four youths reportedly attacked the brothers. There were no eyewitnesses except Praveen who sustained injuries while trying to avert the clash. However, Praveen was a bit hazy and not giving the correct account, the police said. “We are trying to nab the accused,” said Circle Inspector of Police Naresh.
The police registered a case under Section 302. The bodies were sent to GGH mortuary for post-mortem. There was tension in the railway colony following the killings.
