Chamarajanagar, Jan 21: Former MLA and son of former governor B Rachaiah, A R Krishnamurthy, announced his decision to quit the BJP, here, on Saturday.

Addressing a media conference, he said the party leaders in the district, have been neglecting him.

"Even when there were rumours that I would join the Congress, neither the district in-charge secretaries nor the district BJP president contacted me. At a time when the Parivarthana Yatra is arriving in the district, I have not been consulted on any matter. There is no mention of my name or display of my photo anywhere. District president K R Mallikarjunappa, in a meeting in Bengaluru, recently said that the BJP can win in three Assembly constituencies, except in Kollegal. His report that I am incapable of winning from Kollegal, hurt me,"
he said.

However, he declined to confirm that he would join the Congress. He said, he would tour across the district and seek the advise of his supporters, before taking a decision on his next political move.
