Senior officials reached the spot after getting the information about the robbery and questioned the firm's employees sifting through their records.

"We are checking CCTV footage also. It appears that around half a dozen persons locked them inside the bathroom and took the valuables from the safes. But, till late evening the company officials have not been able to provide any entries in their own records which can show that they held such a huge quantity of gold with them," said deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Harjit Singh. He said the company office have not employed any security guard and their 'day book,' having record of daily entries, does not show cash more than Rs 2 lakh in a day.
