Golden opportunity for dropouts, unemployed to pursue job-oriented courses with stipend!

Mangalore, Aug 27: There is a golden opportunity for college dropouts and unemployed to pursue higher education in the city as St Aloysius Community College is offering job-oriented diploma courses under the unique schemes of government of India.

Even though St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangalore, had bagged the Community College status in the previous academic year and successfully conducted certificate courses, this is year for the first it is offering one year diploma courses.

This scheme helps one get education along with hands-on industry experience. The courses include classroom teaching and practicals besides industry internships. The programme runs with industry partnership.

According to the course coordinator Dr A Lourdusamy, in the current academic year two separate diploma courses namely Computer Animation and Multimedia' and Travel and Tourism' will be conducted.

These courses not only provide a second chance for the dropouts and unemployed to pursue higher education but also guarantee job and adequate amount of stipend during the course period. Both girls and boys who have passed PUC are eligible to apply for the above courses.

Dr Lourdusamy has appealed to all those who are seeking jobs and who cannot pursue higher education to make use of the opportunity. There is no age bar to join Community College. The classes are conducted in the evening. The student will be given an allowance of Rs 1,000 every month during the course. Admissions are on. For more information immediately contact 9448744522.
