Heavy rains force Karnataka CM defer his 'village stay' in Afzalpur taluk

Yadagiri, Jun 22: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy deferred his scheduled 'Village Stay' in Kalaburagi district, following incessant rains, here on Saturday.

Speaking to newsmen at Chandaraki village in Yadagiri district, where stayed overnight yesterday in a Primary School, said that the scheduled 'Village Stay' at Herur village in Afzalpur Taluk has been deferred following heavy rains in the village.

Clarifying that his 'Village Stay' was only deferred and not cancelled, he said that “the programme was to be postponed following receiving of good rains in Afzalpur taluk and I tender apology for not making it on Saturday”.
