Hebri, June 12: Sukriti, a second PUC student of Jawahar Navodaya School is the only student from Karnataka selected to go to Japan on an educational tour.
The Home Ministry, Foreign Ministry and Human Resource Ministry in association with Japan Government has arranged a 14-day education tour for students.
As many as 580 students from India will go on this tour which will be held in five phases. As many as 200 students from Jawahar Navodaya School have the opportunity on going for this tour.
Two students from Hyderabad Jawahar Navodaya School have been selected for this tour. However, Sukriti is the only one selected from Karnataka.
“We are proud of Sukriti, as it is very difficult to get selected to go for this tour. We have applied for a Passport for her and MLA Gopal Bhandary has promised to help to get her passport done at the earliest,” said School Principal K V Suresh.
The tour has been organised by Japan East Asia Network of Education For Students of Youth. Sukriti is the daughter of Krishna Acharya and Sulochana K.
