Mangalore, Nov 23: With the intention of establishing a Hindu nation, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti will organise a local Hindu convention in the city on Sunday, in which leaders of prominent Hindu organisations, dedicatedHindu youth and lawyers will participate, said of Dakshina Kannada district co-ordinator of the Samiti Prasanna Kamath.
Speaking at a press conference here on Friday, he said that group discussion and live panel discussion on issues such as cow slaughter, love jihad, anti-superstition bill and instances of assault on Hindu youth would be held in the day-long convention.
A decision on opposing the Karnataka Anti-Superstitious Practices Bill 2013 drafted by the state government will also be discussed in the convention, he said.
The day-long convention will be organised in SDM Law College here, beginning at 10 a.m. upto 6 p.m. in the evening, he added.
Samiti members Shrinivas Kini and Ramananda Gowda, Sangeetha Prabhu of Sanathana Samsthe and Upendra Acharya were present in the press conference.
